Aliph Jawbone II Bluetooth Headset with NoiseAssassin

No matter how good the car, it’s worthless without wheels… Ditto for Jawbone. While this seems to be the best available blue tooth device, IT SHOULD BE AVOIDED unless and until the company FINALLY catches on that an earpiece that won’t stay in place because the ear plugs that come with the device suck. HELLO, Jawbone – that renders your device worthless. Yes, the earwire also breaks easily and often – because the user is forced to rely on the earwire to hold it in place because the earplugs that come with it DON’T WORK!!! The company knows this. It has refused to revise its product. We should therefore boycott it until it comes with earpieces that FIT. End story.

Haven’t been able to figure out how to fit/wear the device so that it works properly. Maybe I will – someday; maybe I won’t. I’m certainly not satisfied with the device at the present time. Maybe life is possible without a bluetooth hands free device.

Audio was crackly and could not comprehend
Others could hear me fine
Out of the box for less than 10min.

I couldn’t get a good fit in my ear, even after buying the Jabra ear gels (which actually made the fit worse). Apparently my ear’s pocket is too shallow. Therefore unit doesn’t consistently stay in contact with my cheek, which then makes my voice inaudible.
I also wasn’t impressed by the Jawbone2’s speaker. Very tinny.

After all the hype and reading the reviews I got this thing, it fit properly and I have to tell you the sound quality is really very second rate. It can get very loud but with lousy sound its almost unintelligible. I have gone back to my very inexpensive headset until I can get something better. One would think that with speaker technology from companies like Shure that make in ear monitors for musicians, these headsets could have better sound. Alas this one is not doing it.
