  1. HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!! DO NOT BUY!!! I PREVIOUSLY OWNED THE JAWBONE II AND I FOUND IT TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE (AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CHANGE EAR BUDS INCLUDING THE UPGRADE FROM JAWBONE SENT OUT FREE BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL ONES HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS…THEY TRIED BUT UNSUCCESSFUL…LOL). THE JAWBONE FELL OFF ALL THE TIME, HURT MY EAR WITHIN MINUTES, MUFFLED MY VOICE SO THAT CALLERS COULD NOT HEAR ME, SLIGHT BREEZE MADE ME IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR BY CALLERS, AND I COULD NOT HEAR THEM WHEN VOLUME WAS TURNED TO MAX AND I WAS IN QUIET ENVIRONMENT. THE BLUE ANT Q1 HOWEVER HAS BEEN THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE EXPERIENCE. EASY TO USE AND VOICE COMMAND REALLY WORKS. NOISE CANCELLATION FAR SUPERIOR TO JAWBONE IN WINDY AND NOISY ENVIRONMENTS!!! BATTERY LIFE SURPASSES JAWBONE BY FAR. COMFORT? WELL…I’VE ALMOST GOTTEN IN SHOWER SEVERAL TIMES WITH IT ON BECAUSE I DON’T EVEN FEEL IT IS THERE EVEN AFTER WEARING FOR SEVERAL HOURS. IF U NEED A BLUETOOTH THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE ONE TO GET!!!

  2. i am on my second jawbone prime (warranty)and i would not recommend this product to anyone——-the quality of sound for the person being talked to is good (i am told) but the sound quality on my end is very, very poor—-and the company will not give me a refund.

  3. “Military Grade Technology” my butt. I have talked on Short-Wave radios with better reception. People on the other end say the sound is garbled, especially in noisy situations, where this thing is supposed to excel. The sound on my end is white-noise and barely audible. I am not impressed. I am sending it back. If anyone spent money to go get the thing, I would suggest asking for your gas money back as well.

  4. This is a great product. The sound quality is really good for both the call received and the party on the other line. The problem is that I keep losing communication with my AT&T Tilt, event after I upgraded the OS to Windows Mobile 6.1 It works most of the time, but it is irritating to try and answer a call with your new headset, and not be able to do it.

  5. I’ve owned each of the 3 versions of Jawbones. The first had the best sound quality, but was too large and heavy to wear comfortably. The Jawbone V2 had much better fit, but the sound quality was compromised. Today I tried the Jawbone Prime, and I’ll be returning it shortly. Sound quality was very slightly improved from V2 for incoming audio. Very slightly. Outgoing audio still has major dropouts just as V2 (hello? hello?), and yes, the tab was in contact with my face. Even if the tab had lost contact with my face, Aliph claims that the Jawbone Prime will still produce usable audio. The most frustrating thing about the Jawbone Prime was that the volume level of incoming audio has not been improved, despite some claims otherwise. In a vehicle at freeway speeds, windows up, the loudest volume level was still barely adequate, and produced noticeable distortion. This makes it largely unusable in noisy environments, which is contrary to their marketing.

So in summary, the Jawbone Prime is a tiny bit better than V2. But $130 better? No way.

I’ve bought into the Jawbone concept for 3 versions, and each has been a significant disappointment. Their product has never lived up to the marketing in my experience. It’s time to jump off the Jawbone bandwagon.
